THERE’S more to come from new striker Jo Kuffour, said Wanderers manager Gary Waddock.
The 30-year-old arrived at Adams Park on a short term deal earlier in the week, having been released by Gillingham at the end of last season.
His performance against Southend, having come on as a half time substitute, was the only positive to take from the 1-0 defeat as his presence was enough to worry the Shrimpers’ defence.
Waddock said: “He looked sharp. He’s a good player but we now have to get him fit and when he is fit we have to give him the right service so he can produce as well.”
But he added: “He’s not fit. He’s not had a pre-season so we’ve got to manage him very carefully. He got 45 minutes under his belt, so that will help him.”
