CHESHAM United had a successful Bank Holiday weekend as they picked up six points out of six.
They sent out a statement of intent by beating Barwell - who led the table at the start of play - 3-1 on their own patch on Saturday.
Hold ups on the M1, leading to the match kicking off 45 minutes late, didn't affect the Generals as they came storming out the blocks and were two in front by half time thanks to goals from Dave Fotheringham and Bruce Wilson.
Last season's top scorer Simon Thomas added to that after the break before a last minute consolation from the home side's Jamie Towers.
Fotheringham's unlikely goal rush continued on Monday as he bagged a brace in United's 2-1 home win over St Albans, who finished the match with ten men.
The pair of wins puts Chesham second behind local rivals Hemel Hempstead, who are the only side in the division with a 100 per cent record after four games.
In the Southern League Central Division Chalfont St Peter needed a late turnaround to beat Chertsey, with Kyle Jeffrey hitting an 89th minute equaliser before Jerome Okimo's wondergoal three minutes into injury time snatched all three points to take them up to sixth.
Beaconsfield SYCOB drew 1-1 as the Holloways Park landlords went in front against tenants Slough Town, only to be pegged back after the break.
In the Hellenic League Flackwell Heath brought Marlow's 100 per cent start to the season to a shuddering halt in a match that saw four red cards.
Top scorer Phil John gave Blues a half time lead but the Heathens came storming back in the second half through two strikes from Louis Cordice and one from former Marlow man John Isaac.
Tempers flared after that as Marlow's goalscorer John and Ben Gladwin, along with Flackwell's Adam Harman, were all dismissed, with Heathens boss James Pritchard having already been sent from the dugout in the first half for protesting a refereeing decision.
