NOBODY has been in touch with Blues boss Gary Waddock about Stuart Beavon despite last season's top scorer getting off the mark on Saturday.
Preston North End have had a bid rejected for the striker, who has also been linked with a move to Championship side Millwall.
Seeing his name on the scoresheet may have reminded a few more managers about his ability - but Waddock said the phone has remained quiet.
He said: "I haven't had a phone call regarding Bevs since Saturday.
"It [interest] is going to happen because he's such a good player and had such a good season."
Beavon hit 25 goals in all competitions last season and Waddock just wants his form to continue, even if it leads to more clubs becoming interesting in the striker.
Waddock said: "We've had converstaions during pre-season. I've said he needs to score goals and hit the ground running, which can only help us at the start of our campaign.
"He's a goalscorer - as long as he's scoring goals he'll be happy and we'll be happy."
