NOW she has had a taste for it, Katherine Grainger might not want to give up the Games just yet.
Even though she will be 40 when the next Olympic Games come along, the Marlow rowing sensation has refused to rule out competing at her fifth Olympics in Brazil with Anna Watkins.
She said: “We have spent the last three years together and sometimes we have discussed beyond London.
“But we were both aware there was this special day in history where we were going to have the race of our lives and we didn’t really think beyond it. We’ve not made any plans yet “I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow, let alone four years down the line.”
Watkins said: “I suppose the only sad thing is that we may not row together again. We’re going to take some time out over the next few months and see our friends and family.”
