WYCOMBE Wanderers starlet Kadeem Harris has signed for Cardiff City.

The gifted 18-year-old has been sold for an undisclosed fee after passing his medical in Wales today.

He has made 19 league appearances for the Blues this season and was named Man of the Match against Preston North End.

But while the move to a team chasing Premiership football is good for the player, it's unlikely to help Wanderers in the short-term, with manager Gary Waddock having next to no time to spend any money from the deal that filters down.

Harris joins Jordan Ibe and Matt Phillips as gifted young players who have matured at Wanderers before going on to bigger and better things.

Waddock told the club's official website: "It's a good deal for all parties. Like Jordan Ibe recently, we didn't want to stand in the way of Kadeem and the opportunity to play at a higher level."
