WANDERERS could have three aces up their sleeve as they try to continue their salvage job at Brentford tomorrow.
Keeper Nikki Bull, defender Danny Foster and striker Ben Strevens all joined Wanderers from the Bees and returning to Griffin Park with something to prove could just be the tipping point.
Blues boss Gary Waddock said: “It would be nice if they all scored, but the challenge now is to back up what we did against Rochdale.
“Brentford are very tough opposition, but you have to perform yourself.
“I’m a great believer in making sure you get your own house in order to give yourself a chance in the game.
“We’ve got a bit of confidence and with the new signing coming in, hopefully we can go there and get some kind of a result.
“Momentum is key. It was a big game last week but we’ve got to try to pick up more points to get us closer to that group above us.”
Strevens had to operate in midfield last weekend, but the arrival of new signing James Harper should strengthen Blues in that department while allowing the goal-shy forward to return to a more familiar role.
Waddock said: “Ben’s all-round game has been very, very good. He would like to score more goals, but he does a very good job for the team whenever he plays.
“[But Harper] has come down here to play games. We’ve got him for six games and he’s a quality footballer.
“He played Premier League and Championship and he wants to come down here and play for us. He’s got all the qualities we’re looking at in a player.”
Meanwhile, Waddock hasn’t ruled out completing another loan deal before 3pm on Saturday.
He said: “We’re always looking.”
