CHESHAM United slipped back in the Southern League Premier Division title race with a 3-0 defeat at rivals AFC Totton.
The defeat sent Andy Leese's team back to fifth in the table with Totton moving up to second.
As it stands, the top eight teams are separated by just four points in one of the tightest promotions fights of recents seasons.
The seventh of the eight teams, Stourbridge, are Chesham's next opponents when they come to The Meadow on January 21.
