TOM Varndell says Wasps’ recent form is unacceptable and has urged his teammates to pull together to turn it around against his old club Leicester tomorrow.
Wasps are 11th out of 12 in the table and although they have a ten-point cushion over Newcastle, defeats to Tigers and then Saracens in their next match could see that whittled away.
Varndell said: “We are our own harshest critics at Wasps and we know to lose five Premiership games in a row is simply unacceptable.
“From our aims and ambitions at the start of the season, we know we are nowhere near where we want to be.
“The league is incredibly tight, though, so if you lose a couple of games you will find yourself in danger at the bottom like us, but on the flipside, if you win a couple of games you will be back up there.”
