WASPS are searching for a replacement for Simon Shaw, but have warned fans not to expect the world as they try to replace their England and Lions lock.
As is the way these days, the club will be looking at price first when it comes to recruiting.
Director of rugby Dai Young said: “I’m looking for the impossible at the moment, a world class player on championship money.
“But I’ve got one or two irons in the fire. There are a couple of really good squad players out there so I do think we’ll bring in reinforcements and I do think they’ll bring big benefits for the team, but maybe they won’t be the recognised names that people expect from Wasps.”
