SHAUN Edwards drew a standing ovation from the Adams Park crowd as Wasps bade farewell to their head coach after today's defeat to Northampton Saints.
Edwards and Wasps parted company earlier this week with Edwards hotly tipped for a top international job after his sterling work with Wales at the World Cup.
Typically though, he was quick to deflect praise onto the players after winning eight major trophies during his time with the black and golds.
He said: “Rugby is about the players not the coaches, and I've been fortunate to have had some magnificent players to coach in my time here and they've got the silverware they deserved. To win the Heineken Cup twice was an incredible effort.”
