JASON Mooney has been nominated as player of the round in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.
The Wanderers keeper, currently on loan at non-league Oxford City, made a series of match-winning saves as they clinched a place in the first round proper by beating higher graded Weston-super-Mare 3-2.
If the 6ft9in keeper tops the poll he will be invited to take part in a parade before the competition’s final at Wembley in May.
There was less joy for Mooney’s fellow Blues keeper Steve Arnold. He shipped half a dozen goals for Hayes and Yeading as they exited the FA Cup at the hands of Cambridge United – whose striker Ashley Carew has also been nominated for player of the round after scoring twice and setting up three more.
