GREAT Marlow School left a host of respected rowing schools in their wake as they returned from the Upper Thames Fours & Pairs Head with four golds last Sunday.
The school that inspired five-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave surged to victory in the J15 quad, the J16 double, J16 four and the J16 pairs.
They also claimed a bronze in the Women’s J15 double crews for good measure.
Racing 3km upstream and into a headwind, the J15 quad of Jack Risk, Marcus Macdonald, Tom Newell, Bryn Lockwood coxed by Jamioe Tombour provided the winning template with the first victory.
They were matched by Ellie and Bethany Osborn in the J16 double, finishing more than a minute ahead of second.
Jack Head and Graham Lyons then claimed the J16 pairs crown before joining forces with Vinay Narang, Sam Haynes and cox Fran Reynolds to win the J16 four.
Elsewhere, Beth Lowe and Fran Reynolds were third in the J15 doubles, with Kelly Dean and Jess Ogbolie fifth.
