ELLIOT Benyon needs to keep working hard if he's to win his place back in the Wanderers first team squad.
The High Wycombe-born striker has been out of favour in recent weeks and hasn't even been in the matchday 16 since the disastrous 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Cheltenham Town.
Benyon, who joined on loan from Swindon Town in pre-season, reminded boss Gary Waddock of his ability with a brace in a 3-0 win for the reserves against the Nike Academy on Tuesday afternoon.
He's fallen down the pecking order after the emergence of youngster Jordan Ibe and Waddock said Benyon had a fight on his hands to get back into the squad.
Waddock said: "It's up to him. He's got to continue to do well and work hard. If an opportunity comes along, he's got to be in the best shape to take it.
"He wants to get into the team. He's done extra work - it's in his hands, really."
