GARETH Couch made it seven wins out of seven as he beat Martino Ciano in Monte Carlo on Saturday night.
He dominated his previously unbeaten Swiss opponent to take a unanimous points decision from the judges in front of the live Europsort cameras.
Now the 23-year-old Loudwater fighter is being lined up for a dream fight in Las Vegas.
Couch was never in trouble on Saturday as he enhanced his growing reputation with his seventh straight win since turning pro.
He said: "I'm as pleased as punch to win."
Couch didn't know who he was fighting until just before the fight but that did not stop him as he worked out his opponent's game in the first round and got on top with some good combinations and clean shots.
He said: " It made it worse not knowing who I was going to fight. I got a cold sore through the stress. I didn't know what he was going to be like. It was the most nervous I have been for a long time. I had my hands down quite a bit to relax and got caught with a few silly punches.
"In the first round I was trying to suss him out and see what he was like because I had no idea.
"I'm normally a slow starter and I did enough to cruise through the first round. He kept following me round and I knew if I went forward with the combinations I would catch him."
Trainer Graham Stevenson was delighted with his performance as Couch revelled in the glitzy surroundings of Monte Carlo and kept well on top throughout the bout.
He said: "He boxed absolutely fantastic. He won every round and totally outclassed the fella. His opponent was very strong, he took a lot of shots but Gareth did the job.
"It was a very controlled fight, probably his best performance so far. There were a lot of nerves with it being on the telly.
"The plan was to keep it long in the first round and have a look at him."
