STEVE Hayes bragged that his Wanderers team are more entertaining than Premiership champions Chelsea.

Wanderers' biggest investor and lifelong Chelsea fan has an executive lounge at Stamford Bridge but says he hasn't used it once this season because he is having more fun watching Wanderers.

The Blues have scored seven goals in their last two games and are second in the table sandwiched between next Friday's opponents Grimsby Town, who are top, and today's visitors to Adams Park Chester City who are third.

Hayes said: "I haven't been to Chelsea this season and I haven't missed it because it is more entertaining and more exciting going to Wycombe at the moment.

"We are playing some fantastic attacking football, we have got the top striker in England at the moment in Nathan Tyson and, in Sergio Torres, we have signed a really exciting Argentinian player which has never been done by the club before."

He also praised the atmosphere being generated by the club's hardcore loyal following of around 4,000 fans and urged them to bring a friend to tomorrow's match to make it even more special.

If Blues win their next two games, they will be guaranteed top spot in League Two but they could hit the summit tomorrow if they make it four straight league wins by beating Chester and Grimsby don't win at Shrewsbury.

Last season Wycombe let the fans in for nothing against Chester and the energy generated by the 8,000-plus crowd helped sweep Wanderers to a 4-2 win.

And although Wycombe can't afford to repeat that scheme which cost Hayes £24,000 from his own pocket they would love a repeat atmosphere.

Hayes said: "The fans have been noisy this year and it has made a big difference to the players."

Blues boss John Gorman goes into the match with an injury doubt over striker Tommy Mooney. He sustained a dead leg in Tuesday's 4-1 victory over Wrexham.

He is the club's only fresh injury concern and Gorman is confident it won't stop him.

Wanderers underlined their commitment to winning promotion last weekend when they turned down a £500,000 bid from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday for but boss John Gorman is not looking any further ahead than today's mouth-watering clash.

He said: "We know there are six very important points at stake in the next two games but I'm not looking at it that way. I'm only looking at the three points on Saturday. Then, after that, we've got six days to prepare for Grimsby and start thinking about those three points.

"It's exciting times. They are both big games but my lads love a challenge and we are really looking forward to it."
