FORMER Arsenal keeper Rami Shaaban has priced himself out of a move to Adams Park.
The glovesman, who played in the Champions League for Arsenal, trained with the Blues and played for them in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors friendly against Cardiff City at the training ground.
Manager John Gorman brought him in after a couple of uncharacteristic wobbles from number one Frank Talia cost Wanderers points.
But Gorman revealed that Shaaban is asking too much money to be considered for a place in his squad.
But Shaaban's arrival on trial appears to have worked wonders anyway in bringing Talia back to his best.
Talia produced a match-saving save from point-blank range in Saturday's 1-0 win over Barnet and, although he was beaten eight times by Aston Villa's shar-shooters in midweek, he kept the score down to single figures with three stunning saves.
Gorman said: "Frank has done very well in the last two games. Although he saw eight goals go past him against Aston Villa he did very well and made some important saves."
Blues included five other triallists in the 2-1 defeat against Cardiff. Celtic midfielder Ross Harris, ex-Chelsea young right back Danny Edwards, Watford left back Lee Harrington, former Gillingham youngster Ashley Dumas and Charlton Athletic youngster Alex Marney were all on show.
And it was Marney who scored Wycombe's goal late on after Cardiff had taken a two-goal lead.
After the match, centre half Danny Brown, who also played, signed a one-month deal for the Blues.
The ex-Chelsea youngster was offered the deal after impressing Gorman in last week's reserve match against Brighton where he shut out Albion striker Colin Kazim-Richards.
That display particularly impressed Gorman because Kazim-Richards destroyed Wanderers just a few months earlier as a visiting Bury player.
Brown goes straight into the travelling party for tomorrow's trip to Mansfield Town.
