MARLOW ended a run of five games without a win on Tuesday with a Jekyll and Hyde performance against Bracknell Town.

The Blues finished 2-1 winners but boss Kevin Stone described them as being like two different sides over the 90 minutes.

He said: "The first half was probably as badly as we have played so far this season and the second half was probably as good.

"We made some changes in the formation after the break and it seemed to work."

John Dyer scored for Bracknell on 31 minutes but an equaliser from Jack Smillie in the 53rd minute followed by Jermaine Hamilton's 89th minute effort his first on the season sealed it for Marlow.

Stone was chuffed with the way his side battled until the end to register their third 89th minute winner of the season He said: "It shows the players keep going and we managed to take out chances. Jermaine took his goal very well and I am delighted for him. It's great for his confidence and I hope it's a spur for him to push on."

Taking their chances was something Marlow failed to do when they lost 1-0 at Taunton Town on Saturday.

Pete Sheppard broke the deadlock for the westcountry side just before the break and Marlow were left to rue Adam Dickens' miss on 47 minutes and a fine save from the Taunton keeper late in the game.

Stone added: "It was a poor goal to give away as it went through a lot of legs.

"If we had got something out of the game it wouldn't have been unfair. We didn't put our chances away."
