MARK van Gisbergen needs just two more kicks to better Jonny Wilkinson's Premiership record.
The Wasps full back has landed an amazing 21 kicks out of 21 this season.
And when you add that to the six successful kicks at goal in last season's Grand Final, that's an incredible run of 27 successful kicks.
That run now puts Van Gisbergen one kick shy of Wilkinson's record of 28 and he could better that today when Wasps entertain Worcester.
And van Gisbergen, who has his own kicking coach at Wasps, put his 100 per cent record down to rest.
He said: "I feel fresh and therefore I'm kicking accurately.
"It's nice to be top of the kicking table I enjoy the challenge and I would like to carry that on."
Director of rugby Ian McGeechan reckons van Gisbergen's success is down to simplicity.
He said: "He's been consistent for the last couple of years. He's got the temperament for it and it's such a simple action. He just keeps repeating it which, from the touchline, is great to see."
Van Gisbergen's run has involved kicks from all over the park, with the full back landing touchline conversions as well as 45m penalties.
And the run has kept up the calls for van Gisbergen to be called up into the England squad after he qualified under the three years' residency rule.
Wasps coach Shaun Edwards said: "I'd be pretty happy for Mark to play 15 in my team."
Van Gisbergen's kicking seems to have thwarted Alex King's hopes of an England call-up but Edwards reckons he's still the class fly half in England after watching him control Wasps' game at Leeds.
Edwards said: "He's been a stand out player since I've been here. His big match temperament has been second to none. I know he doesn't kick goals for us but there's more to rugby than kicking goals.
"His all-round general play and his leadership in the three Grand Finals and the Heineken Cup were top-class and Leeds was another example today.
"We can all look at players and see what they can't do. Well, why can't we look at what they can do and be positive about players sometimes. He's the kind of player we want at Wasps."
