STEVE Claridge has been sacked as a manager of Millwall after just 36 days.
The 39-year-old, who played for Wanderers, last season has been replaced by former Wolves manager Colin Lee at the New Den.
Claridge penned a three-year deal with Millwall on June 21 after rejecting an offer to stay on as a Wycombe player.
But he was ousted before taking charge of a competitive game.
Millwall issued a statement saying: "The board believe that it was in the best interests of the club that this move was made quickly before the start of the season.
Claridge told Radio Five Live he was "deeply disappointed and shocked."
It is the second time in 12 months he has been fired. He was sacked as manager of Weymouth when Thame knocked them out of the FA Cup.
