YOUNG football fanatics are needed to take part in a five-a-side tournament as part of the forthcoming Free Press Wycombe Town Show.
The tournament, organised by Wycombe Wanderers, will be played out on a giant inflatable football pitch on The Rye during the town show weekend of Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7. Three tournaments for seven to nine-year-olds are taking place on Saturday, and three more for ten to 12-year-olds will be played on Sunday.
Alan Dunham, from Wycombe Wanderers, said: "The pitch has walls like on a bouncy castle and the goals are built-in. We want to run a tournament and we need teams to come and take part."
Anyone taking part will get into the show for free when accompanied by an adult.
The inflatable pitch is just one of many activities booked up for the annual extravaganza, this year sponsored by Platts Hyundai. New for this year will be a mock accident display put on by emergency services, where they will demonstrate how they deal with car crashes.
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for children and over 60s. A family ticket is also available for £10.
