EVERYONE is talking about cricket at the moment and the big match. Your England against my beloved Australia.

I was lucky enough to be at Lord's on Thursday and I must say the English bowlers began very well and I think this Ashes series will be a bit closer than everyone expects.

It is the first time I have been over here when an Ashes series has been on and it certainly makes it a bit more intense. There have been loads of jibes going around and I must have about a hundred quid riding on this.

You guys have made a good start but I'm still confident I will be the one picking up the money in the end.

But of course the Lord's game isn't the only big match taking place.

We've got a very big one of our own this weekend. We entertain Slough in a real top-of-the-table clash. We are currently 19 points clear of them so this is a big game for both sides.

This is just they type of match I came over to England for. I wanted to play in high intensity games and be in contention for trophies and hopefully we can go a long way to winning one on Saturday.

It is the biggest game of the season so far for us and could go a long way to determine who will win it at the end of the season.

It would be nice if we could get a lot of supporters down there. It would mean a lot to the players to get a big crowd down there behind them in such a hard game that could make or break the season.

We're very confident. The vibe around the club is really good at the moment. We are very confident and looking to win every game.

We know that a winning draw against Slough would be a good result but we want to win the game outright. We want to beat them and show that we are the best team in the league.
