The youngster shone against a talented Blackheath and Bromley team on Sunday with a series of outstanding performances on the track. He pulled off an impressive jump of 4.83m to win the U13 boys long jump and earn himself a grade one national standard.

He followed that up with two second places in the 100m and 200m sprints. And, as member of the 4x100m relay-squad, Thomas bagged another second place alongside Scott Pulley, Euan Bryden and Adam Thomas.

Callum Slade provided good support with second place in the long jump while Matthew Higgs and William Keese finished first and second respectively in the high jump. In the U17 boys category, Elliott Smith registered a sprint double in the 100m and 200m while James Brinkworth triumphed in the 400m hurdles.

Tom Best came first in the B-string equivalent and David Bushrod continued the team's success with wins in the javelin and high jump. And James Brinkworth leaped 1.55m to claim first place in the B high jump.

And it was second place apiece in the hammer for Carl Summerfield and Peter Elder, who also achieved a runners-up place in the discus.

William Holland and Brinkworth claimed second in the triple jump event.

In the U15 boys, great performances came from Jim Green, who took first in the 800m, while Will Langley matched him in the 3000m.

Jake Gumb ran a PB in the 80m hurdles to come second supported by Josh McGee who was runner-up in the B-string, while Alex Heap knocked ten seconds off her PB in the 1500m.

The U13 girls did well with second place finishes from Annette Dean in the 75m and 150m B-String runners Alice Rogers and Sian Huckstable finished second in the 75m and 150m races respectively.

It was also second place in the long jump for Huckstable and Rogers.
