RESERVE keeper Steve Williams has set his heart on winning a first team place after his heroics helped Blues win the San An Cup in Ibiza.
The glovesman saved three spot kicks as Wanderers beat League One side Oldham on penalties after begging the manager to let him back on after coming off at half time.
Williams said: "I felt confident I'd save them. We had a five-a-side in training and I saved a couple."
But the 22-year-old now has his sights set on a bigger prize as he tries to wrestle the number one jersey off Talia.
He said: "I feel ready for it. It's frustrating being the number two but I'm confident that if I get my chance I will be able to take it."
