Cricket: WARRIORS will be without opening bowler Adam Cole for up to six weeks after he injured his shoulder fielding.
Cole damaged the muscles when he dived to stop a boundary in Wycombe's Evening Standard Trophy victory over Eastcote.
And captain Paul Sawyer says he'll be a big loss.
He said: "It's a blow and a half. He's a very consistent bowler."
Cole's replacement in the side for the weekend's double header will be Russell Thompson, who will be the fourth spinner in the side. Sawyer will open the bowling alongside all-rounder Mark Wright.
Wycombe have excelled so far on flat, dry wickets but Sawyer is keen for the quality of bowling to match the batting.
He said: "I don't quite think we are at full pelt. We're not quite bowling well. We're not playing as well as we can."
Despite being below par with the ball, Warriors are still contending on a number of fronts and they kept their Evening Standard challenge on course on Sunday.
Sawyer said: "It's as important as anything. We won it two or three years ago and we want to win it again.
"All the cups are really important. We want to win everything we enter."
And they have the opportunity to progress in the National Knockout on Sunday when they travel to Middlesex League high-fliers Winchmore Hill.
Sawyer said: "They are doing really well.
"They've got a couple of ex- pros but they've never really gone far in these cup competitions."
