ANDREW Gardiner broke the course record at the third annual Wooburn Green 10K race.
The Penn-based athlete, who runs for the Windsor, Slough, Hounslow and Eton club, was first home in 33 minutes flat leaving more than 300 athletes trailing in his wake.
Peter Stainer of Shaftesbury Barnet was second, fully 78 seconds behind.
He won the prize for first male veteran, over 40.
Chiltern Harriers' Kingsley Nanton was third in 35minutes and six seconds.
He was the first of a rash of Chiltern Harriers, with six finishing in the first 12 to give the club the team prize with Nanton, Eddie O'Gorman, Fabian Downs and Tony Richardson finished in third, fifth, seventh and eighth place respectively.
Richardson also won the prize for first male veteran, over 50.
The ladies' race was won by Sally White in 42.14 minutes. She led home Handy Cross Joggers winning ladies team of Margaret Moody, Penny Cutler and Micky Middleton, the four finishing in 27th, 53rd, 56th and 116th place respectively.
Handy Cross also boasted the first female veteran over 50 with Margaret Moody taking the honours.
