WYCOMBE Wanderers have rejoined the reserve league 12 months after pulling out.
Blues revealed the U-turn last week and the turnaround has been welcomed by the club's assistant manager Steve Brown Previous boss Tony Adams took the club out of the Pontins Holiday League because he didn't have enough players to fulfil the fixtures.
But with Steve Hayes coming onto the board and sanctioning five major summer transfers already this year, things are looking up for the club and manager John Gorman was keen to see the reserve side re-instated.
The reserves will now have at least 16 competitive fixtures next term.
They join Brighton and Hove Albion, Aldershot, Crawley, Gillingham, Woking, Millwall, Queens Park Rangers and Reading in the league.
Brown said: "It is good to be back. At the time when the club pulled out of the league it was the right decision because we didn't have enough players.
"But we have got a decent sized squad of players now and they will need to be playing regularly to maintain their fitness and to help their development."
Francis Glenister, Ian Baker, Tim Goode, Martin Hamilton, Peter Lerner, Reg Rundle, Keith Blagbrough, Geoff Taylor and Marcus Wood have all been appointed to the board of the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust.
The nominees all got through without having to stand for election because no other candidates came forward for the vote, which should have been held on June 30.
