ASTON Villa have promised to send their full first team to Wanderers for Steve Brown's on-off testimonial match but have switched the date.
The Villans have brought the game forward by 24 hours to Monday, July 18 so that they can fly out on their pre-season tour to Sweden the following day.
And Brownie is just delighted to get the game on after waiting more than a year for his testimonial to come to fruition.
He said: "I'm really excited about it. I've got one of the biggest clubs in the country coming down here to play for me. It is a real honour and I'm looking forward to it."
Villa boss David O'Leary has been given a summer spending kitty of £20million to spend and the Midlanders have promised to parade any new signings on the night.
But the star man will be in a Wycombe shirt.
Brown, now Wanderers' assistant manager, will turn the clock back by playing in the game himself.
He will be the only non-contracted player in action as Wanderers will use the match as a full-scale first team match as they prepare for the new season.
Tickets are now available with prices starting from £10 for adults or £5 for concessions.
Executive boxes at £500 for 12 are also available for hire and hospitality packages can also be booked at £50 per head which includes a three course meal and top seats.
