SAILING: Eight-year-old Ben Cisneros and dad Hector teamed up to become UK National champions.
The father-and-son duo from Hazlemere emerged victorious against 90 pairs at Poole Yacht Club in Dorset.
They competed in six races over three days in their dinghy called Benina Milkshake. The Cisneros' braved strong winds and difficult currents to win one race and finish in the top ten in the others, eventually coming out on top by two points.
Hector said: "I have been sailing for some 30 years and, though I have had success internationally in a variety of different classes, this win with my son gives me the most satisfaction."
Ben started sailing when he was five and is showing plenty of early promise.
Hector said: "He's very keen. He talks about it all the time and he looks forward to the events.
"It's all about practice and it's amazing how advanced they are at this stage."
Next up for the pair are the National Inland Championships in July.
