STEVE Brown has challenged Blues' galaxy of summer stars to live up to the wave of excitement they have caused by delivering promotion this season.
Blues have bolstered last season's squad with the addition of Tommy Mooney, Stefan Oakes and Kevin Betsy, who have all played at a higher level, as well as plucking two of the Conference's biggest stars in defender Will Antwi and striker Charlie Griffin.
The rash of five signings has raised expectation levels among fans, following last season's disappointment of missing out on the play-offs, and Brownie is calling on the new boys and last season's squad members to make sure they don't disappoint.
The assistant manager said: "There is a feel good factor at the moment and a real buzz going around. The fans are excited and so are the players. I have had some of them on the phone saying they can't wait to come back in. I cannot wait to get the season started and nor can they.
"The fans have seen the signings we have brought in and they are very optimistic and rightly so.
"We've had some lean times at this football club over the past couple of years but I have got every inch of confidence in the squad that we have assembled now.
"We have got so many good players and so many of them are better than this division. But it is not about saying that, it is about proving it on the pitch and that's what we intend to do."
