WASPS are preparing to be taken over by the Irish.
The club signed their third Irishman this week in Jeremy Staunton and are ready to sign another player in Peter Bracken from the Emerald Isle.
And Irish cider brand Magners became their official sponsors in a two-year deal announced on Wednesday.
Magners marketing executive Maurice Breen joked that the takeover was in revenge for Wasps' semi-final victory over Munster in the Heineken Cup two seasons ago.
He said: "It's a two, three or four-pronged Munster attack on Wasps. We didn't like what happened at Lansdowne Road a few years ago."
"We are looking forward to developing a long term relationship with the club and its supporters who show a real passion and dedication, a value shared by Magners for the traditions associated with the production of our premium cider.
"It's a great deal for us and transformational for Magners Cider.
"In being the main sponsor for both Wasps and Edinburgh, we believe we have the two best sides in English and Scottish rugby."
Wasps chief executive David Davies said: "We are delighted that a high-profile brand has come on board as our main sponsor and I'm sure Magners Original Irish Cider will become popular with our adult supporters."
