FORMER Premiership star Tommy Mooney is set to lead the line for Wanderers next season after agreeing personal terms.
The 33-year-old striker, who played for Watford in the top flight, will be joined at Adams Park by defender Will Antwi, who is due to sign a two-year deal on Monday.
And, in a treble dose of good news, Keith Ryan has signed a one-year deal to stay on as player/coach.
Boss John Gorman was delighted to have attracted somebody of Mooney's quality.
He said: "I'm very, very happy because he's a player I've always admired. It's important that we get players like Mooney.
"He's scored goals all his career and he'll be a great acquisition. He's delighted to join us and he's really relishing the challenge.
"He's been doing well at Oxford he got 15 goals last season."
Gorman thinks that Mooney, who agreed a two-year deal, and other new arrivals Charlie Griffin and Stefan Oakes can boost Blues' goals for column next season.
He said: "We've added three goalscorers."
Antwi opted to join Blues despite being offered a new contract by non-league Aldershot.
Gorman cast his eye over him after inviting him to join the squad in training and was impressed with what he saw.
He said: "I liked his attitude and gave him the chance to show what he can do."
"He's young. He's got a lot of potential. He's 6ft 3ins and he's really athletic."
Gorman was also delighted to tie up Ryan's services for another season and says the 34-year-old may be given a bigger role on the coaching side of things.
He said: "If he's in the team it's a bonus. He's so fit and wants it badly. If he's in the team he won't do much coaching."
