WYCOMBE Warriors grabbed their second win of the season wih a fantastic finish on Saturday.

They looked to be dead and buried when North Mymms needed just 46 runs off 22 overs to win in their Home Counties Premier match.

But enter Paul Woodroffe. The bowler had missed the first three weeks of the season but he returned with a vengeance to skittle North Mymms out and give Warriors victory by 21 runs.

Batting first, Wycombe reached 250-6 thanks to 60 in 42 balls by Mark Wright.

Opponents North Mymms, who were newly promoted to Division One, were looking good for the win thanks to 81 by Steve Clements and 58 by Neil Bamford.

But in an amazing turnaround, Woodroffe took a five wicket haul as North Mymms lost their last six wickets for just 25 runs.

Wycombe grabbed the last wicket with 2.3 overs left to complete an amazing win and they are now in second place, just five points behind Banbury.

In Division Two West, Beaconsfield suffered their first defeat of the season with a hefty 116-run defeat against Farnham Royal.

Royal were bowled out for 238 in 58 overs, with Warren Miller top-scoring with 92.

But Becky never got near that total, getting bowled out for just 122. Krishmar Santokie was Farnham Royal's hit-man, taking 6-68.

Beaconsfield are now in fifth place.

Gerrards Cross are still looking for their first win after drawing with Bicester & NO.

Alex Jewell's 69 helped Bicester record 216-8 in 60 overs. That left Cross needing 27 in 50 overs but they never got near that target, eventually settling for a draw.

Cross, who have drawn two games and had one match cancelled, finished on 129-5 and claimed seven points, which puts them in seventh place.

Thame moved up to second position with an impressive 79-run win over Aston Rowant.

Batting first, Thame were bowled out for 228 in 58 overs, with Wynd top-scoring on 61.

In reply, Tim Bant made 72 but Aston Rowant struggled to 149 all out, with Mehta taking 6-46, to give Thame the win.
