A BOWLS club has given itself a new £20,000 pavilion as a 50th birthday present.
Bassetsbury Manor Bowls Club was able to open the new building thanks to funds raised from members and grants from Wycombe District Council and the National Lottery.
There are still some finishing touches required to the pavilion which has new furniture, toilets, a kitchen and a balcony. The club are hoping these facilities will attract new members to the 50- strong club.
Vice president Alec Taylor said: "We're thrilled to bits with it but there's still a long way to go before it's truly under way."
Anyone wanting to join or help out at the club should contact Mrs Julie Taylor on 01494 524277
