BLUES keeper Frank Talia is set to overtake Eddie Krncevic as the Australian with the longest playing career in Europe.

Talia has just completed his 14th season in England, which equals the time Krncevic spent in Europe playing in Belgium, France, Germany and Croatia.

And Talia's new two-year deal, penned last week, gives him the 32-year-old glovesman the opportunity to go into the history books.

Talia was given his senior debut by Melbourne Victory in 1990 and left for England after just one season with Sunshine George Cross in the National Soccer League.

Talia was on the books of Blackburn Rovers when they won the Premier League championship and also won promotion at Swindon. He also played for Hartlepool and Sheffield United before joining Wycombe two seasons ago.

l Wycombe have been named as the Fair Play League winners for Coca-Cola League Two.

The Chairboys topped the list of 24 teams, amassing only 40 bookings and one red card.

The sole dismissal came way back in September for on-loan Porstmouth defender Gary Silk who was sent off after two cautions.

A 22-man brawl with Leyton Orient in November, which netted both clubs a £500 fine and an FA rap, was the only other blot on Wycombe's copybook.
