TWO football fanatics were put through their paces by Wycombe Wanderers after they won a competition to train with the club for a day.
The competition was run by the Free Press together with the sponsors of Wanderers, Loans.co.uk.
Ryan Connolly, 19, from Hazlemere, and Richard Sadler, 17, from Downley, correctly answered a question about the coaching staff at the club.
Richard, a student at Cressex Community School, has been going to see the Wanderers since the age of five.
He said: "It was shocking when I found out because my day had been really bad up till then. I was excited about going. It was really good but it was tiring. I'd love to do it again if I got the opportunity. The level was a lot higher than I expected.
"John Gorman is a very nice guy, and I was speaking to Clint Easton quite a lot who was really funny."
Ryan Connolly, a BCUC student from Hazlemere, is a lifelong fan and season ticket holder at Wanderers.
Mr Connolly told the Free Press about his delight when he heard he was one of the competition winners.
He said: "It was like a dream come true. I've supported them since I was eight."
Even though the standard of play was much higher than he expected, Mr Connolly still managed to embarrass one of his heroes.
He said: "I nutmegged Clint Easton and then he ran after me and nearly ripped my bib off. I was knackered at the end of it and it was much harder than I thought."
