WARREN Gatland has called on his players to make sure his last home match in charge of Wasps goes with a bang.
The All Black could have his last ever game with Wasps if they fail to beat Sale today but he is keen to extend his stay for another week so Wasps can enjoy another Grand Final at Twickenham.
He said: "I just want another day out at Twickenham. I've had 3 and a half fantastic years at this club and the most fantastic memories to do with rugby have been with Wasps.
"Hopefully, we can have a good crowd and good weather and have a good game.
"There's another two weeks to go and, hopefully, they will be two enjoyable weeks."
But Gatland knows that Sale are out to be the party poopers.
He said: "A lot depends on what frame of mind they are in.
"They're in the final of the Parker Pen and they've already qualified for the Heineken Cup.
"They could start throwing the ball around and, if our heads are right, it could be a good day for us.
"We've played two games against them this season where we've dominated.
"It should be a good open game of rugby."
Club skipper Lawrence Dallaglio is wary of what Sale can do, especially as they have already beaten Wasps at home this season, when Charlie Hodgson's late drop goal inflicted a 33-30 defeat on the champions.
Dallaglio said: "They've got threats all over the field and they're able to rack up points.
"But we're on the back of a defeat and we'll be a dangerous side. We have to make sure our focus is right because we want to be in the final."
But Wasps have not got the best record against Sale at home.
They have only beaten the Cheshire side once on the last four occasions and have gone down twice in the three times they have played at Adams Park.
