LOAN duo Steve Taylor and Luke Moore make their final appearances for Wanderers at Stockport tomorrow determined to go out on a high.
The England U19 duo have been such big hits for Wanderers that they have been called back by their Premiership clubs after just one month in the quartered shirt.
Moore blasted a hat-trick in last Saturday's 4-1 win over Grimsby and is now expected to fight for a place in Aston Villa's first team, while 17-year-old centre half Taylor is expected to push for a place in Newcastle United's first team now that Nikos Dabizas has joined Leicester.
Now the pair want to thank Wanderers for putting them on the route to superstardom with a farewell performance to remember.
Taylor said: "I've got mixed feelings about going back. It is great that Bobby Robson wants me back so quickly but I'm sorry to be leaving Wycombe.
"I've had a great time down here and I've learned so much more about defending from Tony Adams than I would have learned at Newcastle.
"I would have been happy to stay for the rest of the season. But I've got just one game left and I'm determined to make the best of it and go out on a high.
"It's a huge game for the club and nothing would please me more than to go out with a win and a clean sheet.
"I've only been here for a month but this club will always be special to me."
Taylor has been getting extra lessons from Adams, who is desperate to push him closer to Sir Bobby Robson's team.
With Dabizas having left the club, and Steve and Gary Caldwell also likely to be away either this month or at the end of the season, the centre-half is racing up the pecking order at United.
Sir Bobby would not allow Adams to play the 17-year-old for Wycombe in the FA Cup at Mansfield last month because he did not want his starlet cup-tied.
Taylor has been operating as a centre back for Blues but switched effortlessly to right back against Grimsby.
Moore's treble against Grimsby took his tally to four goals in his month on loan and, like Taylor, he has got mixed feelings about going back to his emploters.
He said: "I'd have been happy to stay longer but Villa want me back and hopefully I'll get my chance there and take it.
"Wycombe have been very good to me and I'd like to leave in style. The only way to top last week's hat-trick would be to score four but I'd settle for just one goal as long as it is the winner."
