A date has been confirmed for Wycombe Wanderers’ fixture against Swindon Town in the EFL Trophy.
The Chairboys will play the Robins in the round of 32 on Tuesday, December 10 at Adams Park with the match kicking off at 7pm.
The two sides last met in August at the County Ground, which Swindon won 1-0 in a pre-season friendly.
You will have to go back to the 2017/18 season when Wycombe played the Wiltshire-based team in a competitive fixture, was a thrilling encounter in League Two.
Marc Richards gave Swindon the lead inside two minutes at Adams Park before Luke O’Nien equalised a minute later.
Craig Mackail-Smith put Wanderers ahead in the 10th minute but Matt Taylor’s incredible free-kick from 40-yards on the hour mark put Swindon level.
Adebayo Akinfenwa thought he won it with a late header, only for it to be disallowed, but the forward had another chance moments later to give Wycombe the lead, and eventually, the win.
Tickets for the match will be announced in due course.
In the EFL Trophy, the two teams have met each on five occasions (2000/01, 2002/03, 2006/07, 2013/14 and 2017/18), with Wycombe winning in two of those fixtures.
