Wycombe Wanderers remain winless in League One this season following a 3-2 home defeat to Birmingham City.
Wycombe were better during the course of the first half, and their dominance saw them take the lead on 21 minutes.
Kone’s through ball found Kieran Sadlier on the right, and after he beat two defenders, his low cross was turned into his own net by Brum captain, Krystian Bielik.
However, the lead did not last long for the Chairboys, as Alfie May equalised on the half-hour mark.
A mistake by Dan Harvie allowed Ethan Laird in, and after his cross wasn’t dealt with, Alfie May popped up to score his eighth goal in 10 games against the Buckinghamshire-based team.
The second-half saw the Blues take control as Luke Harris’ low finish from an Ayumu Yokoyama cross turned things around with 25 minutes left.
And in the final 10 minutes, Willum Willumsson’s half-volley wrapped up the three points for Birmingham, before Sam Vokes scored for the second week running for the Chairboys in the dying embers.
The result at this very early stage of the season means Wanderers sit 19th, whilst Brum move into seventh.
Up next for the Chairboys in the league is Rotherham United at home on August 24.
Before that, Wanderers will travel to AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy.
Attendance: 6,224 (1,848 away)
