Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds admits he 'lives, breathes, eats and sleeps' the Welsh club ahead of their season opener against Wycombe Wanderers.
The Hollywood actor, alongside fellow entertainer Rob McElhenney, have overseen the rise of the Red Dragons from the National League to League One with back-to-back promotions.
Their clash against the Chairboys on August 10 will be their first in the third tier since 2005, and their first against the Adams Park team since the 2007/08 season.
And whilst they aim for an unprecedented third consecutive promotion, the inaugural league game of the season is up against a side that have got a decent record against the North Welsh outfit.
In fact, out of the 24 fixtures between the two sides, Wycombe have won eight compared to Wrexham's six, with there being 10 draws.
Additionally, Wanderers have only lost one of their last 10 matches against the Dragons.
Speaking on the One Show, Reynolds, who aims to watch Wrexham against the Chairboys live in the flesh next month, said: “My coping mechanisms as I’ve gotten older are not great.
“One time I checked how many steps I got through during a match and it was like 9,500.
“I’m like a caged tiger.
“I live, breathe, eat and sleep Wrexham and the only thing that can derail from that is Deadpool because Deadpool swallows your whole life and that’s the only way to do it, to let it consume you, so I’m so happy to be back now.”
Billionaire-backed Wycombe will be hoping to spoil the Hollywood party at the Racecourse Ground, with the fixture streamed live on Sky Sports, as well as the American TV channel, CBS.
