Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of West Ham United U21 striker Gideon Kodua on a six-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for the young Hammers side this campaign across all competitions, which includes bagging a strike against the Chairboys in the EFL Trophy on January 9.

Wanderers would win the cup tie 2-1, with Kodua standing out for the East London team.

Following his successful season last year at West Ham, which saw the Hammers win the FA Youth Cup against Arsenal, he was awarded his first professional contract and the Dylan Tombides Award after being voted as the club’s outstanding scholar.

In the cup triumph over the Gunners back in April, he scored a fantastic long-range chip from 45-yards as they won 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

He will wear the number 28 shirt for Wanderers, which was last worn by Josh Scowen, and will be included in the club's squad to face Lincoln City on January 13.
