Buckinghamshire’s Co-Captain Nicky Gross stated that playing at Twickenham ‘was a great experience for everyone in the team and we have loved every second of it’, despite losing in their respective cup final.
The Three Counties team fell to a 15-25 loss against a strong Lancashire side in the Gill Burns County Championship Division 1 Final over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Lancashire win the Gill Burn's Women's County Division 1 Final!
She said: “On the coach over, we were extra excited because we could feel the vibe as soon as we arrived at Twickenham, and we knew it was going to be such a buzzing day.
“We are so honoured to be here this weekend.”
The showpiece took place prior to the Barbarians v World XV, and the Bill Beaumont Men's County Championship Division 1 Final where Kent faced Lancashire in a weekend packed with rugby.

She added: “It is a tough defeat to swallow but we still want the girls to have a good time.
“It is a brilliant weekend of rugby and we need to celebrate all the successes that English rugby has at the moment.
“To play in the final at Twickenham, it is a massive honour.”
