Wycombe Wanderers boss Matt Bloomfield believes Chem Campbell has got a ‘bright future’ following his performance in the club’s 1-1 draw against Exeter City.

The 20-year-old winger is on loan from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, and he scored his first professional goal in the Chairboys’ match versus the Grecians on March 4.

Scoring after just 90 seconds on his Adams Park debut, the strike is Wycombe’s quickest of the season, and Bloomfield believes this is just the beginning for Campbell.

He told the press: “It was great to see Chem get his goal.

“And we hope that this is just a sign of things to come from him.

“He has got lots of pace to use up, he is very tricky when he gets the ball and when he is in those wide areas, he can be a real handful.

“Couple him up with Garath McCleary on the other wing, we wanted to give the ball as much as we can, and they did that well.

“Chem got his goal, Garath hit the post and we thought that the past way to get at Exeter was in the flanks and the two of them did a great job in doing that.

“I’m really pleased with Chem and I am sure he will play a huge part for us until the end of the season.

“He’s got a bright future in front of him.”

Since moving to Adams Park on loan from Wolves, he has played four times for the Chairboys.
