Lewis Wing’s performance in Wycombe Wanderers’ 3-2 victory over Derby County was another example of the midfielder’s integral role in the team.
The 25-year-old has started 25 of the Chairboys’ 29 league games so far this season, and has bagged seven goals.
This includes scoring a brace against the Rams on February 11, which has taken his tally to five strikes in the last six fixtures.

A forgotten man at Middlesborough who had a nightmare spell at Sheffield Wednesday last season, Wing is once again showing his individual talent in front of the Adams Park faithful, and manager Gareth Ainsworth has revealed that securing his services was down to the Couhig family.
Speaking after the win over Derby, which ended their 15-game unbeaten run in the league, the boss said: “Lewis Wing is a terrific player and he’s above this level without a doubt.

“We’re lucky to have him and he’s one of the reasons why I am so grateful for the Couhigs.

“Rob Couhig supported me when I said I wanted to keep him at the start of the season because he is a special player.
