Wycombe Wanderers are in a race with League One rivals Fleetwood Town in securing the services of Queen’s Park left-back, Charlie Fox.
The 24-year-old, who had a brief spell with the Chairboys during the 2018/19 season where he made two appearances, is reportedly a hot target for a number of EFL clubs due to his stellar performances for the Scottish outfit, according to the Daily Record.

Signing for the Spiders in the summer of 2021 after spending two years roaming across England’s Non League pyramid, Fox has featured 53 times for Queen’s Park and played an integral role in the club’s promotion to the Scottish Championship last season.
His positive displays led the Glasgow-based club to extend his contract to the end of this season.

And despite Queen’s Park currently sitting top of Scotland’s second tier in their first campaign back in the division since 1983, Fox could return to England if the right offer were to come along.
Queen’s Park have won eight of the last nine games the left-back has played in, keeping five clean sheets in that time.

If he were to re-join Wycombe, he will battle with Joe Jacobson and Jordan Obita for the left-flank role, even though the former has taken more of a central position at the back in recent weeks.

Wanderers have signed one player so far this window, with goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright joining on loan from Hull City until the end of the season.
He will act as a back-up for Max Stryjek, but could potentially get a run in the first team.
