Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth was very impressed with the performance of centre back Ben Kaninda, in the Chairboys’ Papa John’s Trophy fixture against Tottenham’s Under 21s.
The youngster made his debut in the cup tie at Adams Park and played the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw, which Wycombe won 4-3 on penalties.
His arrival in Buckinghamshire came on the same day as fellow new signing Antoine Makoli.
Both players impressed during their trials this summer, and will now be part of the club's development squad.
A real rock at the back tonight - could hear him scream orders and his positional play was top quality. A great debut for @BenKaninda #Chairboys https://t.co/cNnM4JVq7B
