WASPS have signed up the world's most capped hooker to aid the development of their academy players.
Raphael Ibanez has turned down offers from the French Federation to remain at Adams Park as a player for another season, while also working as part of the club's academy coaching team.
Ibanez, with 98 French caps, said: "I had some options to consider from the French Federation, but I think they came too early for me.
"I need to get some experience first, and I can think of no better place to get that experience than at Wasps.
"I have no doubt that this is the best place to continue my progress. I also believe rugby is about passion, and I have a strong passion for Wasps which made my decision easy.
"Every morning I come through the door at our training ground and I feel I still have something to learn, but I also want to share my experience with the young players coming through."
