WASPS forwards coach Craig Dowd celebrated his last game at Adams Park by watching his forwards bludgeon Bristol in submission on Saturday.
Dowd is returning to New Zealand after Wasps' game at Newcastle on Friday.
Addressing the crowd at the end of the game, he said: "I'd like to thank everyone at Wasps for welcoming me into their family, but mostly I'd like to thank the players standing in front of me, because I would have hated to have signed off with a loss."
Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio said the forwards' role in Wasps dramatic winning try was an ideal send-off for Dowd.
He said: "It's quite fitting for Craig Dowd. After all the hard work he's put in he had a big smile on his face at the end.
"He's one of the foreign players who has given a huge amount to English rugby, not only as a player but also as a coach."
