BADMINTON stars Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson continued their preparations for this year's Olympics by playing against members of the Wycombe Badminton Centre.
The All England Champions, who won silver in Athens four years ago, played a series of short sets against the club members in Wednesday's Carlton Players Event.
Up and coming juniors were treated to world class coaching, a speed gun Smash Test' and short games with and against the star duo.
The Olympians remained undefeated thoughout though even when they came up against the centre's star youngsters including Jenny Crump, Ed Thomas, Mike Daw and Jamie Kilgariff who have national rankings and aspire to senior national status.
The centre's top league seniors also put up a good fight but Emms and Robertson won through every time, with every point the Wycombe players achieved being enthusiastically applauded.
The speed gun was also a big attraction on the night with Jenny Crump recording a 114 miles per hour shot and the top male being David Stone with a speed of 130 mph.
