TIM De Gelas is celebrating a double hat-trick this week.
On Wednesday he was at Wycombe Hospital to see the birth of his third child, Ruby, then on Sunday he scored a hat-trick for Wycombe Town in their 6-0 win over Wycombe Marsh.
He said: "It's been a fantastic week, one that I won't forget."
Remarkably those were his first goals of the season and came in his team's THIRD win of the campaign.
But he almost missed it.
He was going to stay at home with wife Laura, son Joshua, 7, daughter Libby, 3, and their latest arrival until his team-mates called him late on Saturday begging him to play.
He said: "My wife wasn't very happy but I'm glad I played now and I've been on nappy duty since."
De Gelas, a drainage engineeer from Wooburn Green, scored his first with a volley from a corner, before heading his second from another flag kick.
The centre back was then given his hat-trick chance on a plate when his team won a penalty and called him up to take it.
He said: "I knew I was going to miss it before I took it. I thought I'd blown my chance of getting a hat-trick when the keeper saved it."
But he got another opportunity ten minutes from time when another corner came out to him on the edge of the box. He beat one man before slamming the ball home.
He said: "I suppose I should have celebrated by pulling a dummy out of my shorts like Carlos Tevez does or rocking an imaginary cradle - but I didn't have anything planned.
"I never score goals. I didn't know what to do. I was in shock. I just laughed. It was my first hat-trick since I was about seven."
